Legislator Jon Cooper was proud to attend the Girl Scout Silver Award Ceremony at the Elwood Middle School in East Northport, where he presented county proclamations to several junior high students from our local area. The Silver Award is the highest award that a Cadette Girl Scout can earn. Each recipient must fulfill a list of requirements that include volunteering a minimum of 30 hours on a community service project and performing at least 25 hours in a leadership capacity.
