Legislator Jon Cooper held a press conference at the County Legislature in Hauppauge to call for the appointment of an Ethics Director for Suffolk County. In light of the recent series of land, insurance and campaign finance scandals in Suffolk, Legislator Cooper feels that the appointment of an Executive Director for the County’s Ethics Commission is a necessary first step to restore public confidence in our local government institutions.
