Legislator Jon Cooper presented county proclamations to Kevin Roskot, Manager of Starbucks in Huntington Village, and his staff. They were honored for their years of devotion to the Huntington community and local charitable causes. Kevin and his staff have provided coffee for senior citizens who visit Suffolk County Mobile Information Office events throughout the Town of Huntington and served coffee to over 3,000 participants at the 2002 Juvenile Diabetes walk. They helped collect 2,045 toys in a toy drive for the holidays, teamed up with a local high school to support a coat drive that collected more than 500 coats and worked with the community to collect over 4,100 books in Starbucks’ annual book drive. They have also sponsored AIDS walks and assisted with our nation’s September 11th fund.
