Legislator Jon Cooper joined with dozens of local children and community volunteers in celebrating National KidsDay at the Huntington Station Enrichment Center’s Boys & Girls Club. National KidsDay is a special day set aside each year to honor America’s children and to encourage and remind adults that the meaningful time they share with children is important to their development. It recognizes the vital roles that families and communities play in helping children develop a positive self-image, a sense of belonging and a sense of competence.
