Legislator Jon Cooper helped dedicate the installation of three Plug Power fuel cells at the William Rogers Legislature Building in Hauppauge. Legislator Cooper, who chairs the Economic Development & Energy Committee, lauded fuel cell technology as an environmentally friendly alternative to petrochemical energy sources. Joining him at the dedication were (left to right) Roger Saillant, President of Plug Power, Richard Kessel, Chairman of LIPA, and Gordian Raacke, Executive Director of the Citizens Advisory Panel (Long Island’s energy watchdog).
