Legislator Jon Cooper obtained $67,500 in county funding for the Family Service League, which is headquartered in Huntington. Founded in 1926 to help families cope with the tragedies of poverty and unemployment, the non-profit organization currently runs 43 different outreach programs at more than 20 locations across Long Island.
