Legislator Jon Cooper was proud to present a proclamation honoring Sarah Fink, a student at Commack High School, who was selected to be a semi-finalist in the 2004 Intel Science Talent Search. Sarah’s science project addresses the problem of how to target anti-cancer drugs on cancer cells exclusively, rather than the body’s cells as a whole. This would allow doctors to reduce the side effects experienced by their patients. Joining Legislator Cooper and Sarah at the ceremony was her father, Richard Fink.
