Legislator Jon Cooper met with students in Patricia Maltempo’s kindergarten class at Washington Primary School in Huntington Station, who participated in Suffolk County’s third annual "Dump the Water" poster contest. This competition is part of an effort to educate the public about the need to take proactive steps to prevent the spread of the West Nile Virus and other mosquito-borne diseases. The proud contest winner in the 18th Legislative District was Taylor Moreno, whose poster also tied for second place countywide.
