Legislator Jon Cooper joined Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and other elected officials at a press conference in Cold Spring Harbor where they expressed opposition to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal to designate two long-term dredge disposal sites in the Long Island Sound. Senator Clinton announced that she is introducing legislation in Congress that would prevent contaminated dredge spoils from being dumped in the Sound.
