Legislator Jon Cooper joined other elected officials and environmental leaders at a press conference announcing support for the $75 million open space bond referendum that will appear on the ballot in November 2004. If approved by the voters, this initiative will provide $35 million for farmland preservation, $30 million for open space preservation and $10 million for the creation of pocket parks throughout Suffolk County.
