Legislator Jon Cooper debated the merits of his proposed "Safe Communities Initiative" with the Executive Director of the Suffolk chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union at a forum hosted by the Long Island Progressive Coalition. The lively and informative debate provided a great opportunity to discuss the merits of Legislator Cooper’s proposal to install security cameras in high-crime areas of the Town of Huntington in an effort to deter crime and help apprehend criminals.
