Surrounded by hopeful restaurateurs and leaders of Long Island’s business community, Legislator Jon Cooper called on state lawmakers in Albany to enact two tax-free weeks for restaurants, similar to what is already done for clothing and footwear. This tax exemption would not only help working families and restaurants, but would also help other sectors of the economy that "feed" off the restaurant industry.
