Legislator Jon Cooper announced the winning ticket at the annual fundraising raffle held by the Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center in Huntington. The winner was given the option of choosing between a brand new Harley-Davidson motorcycle or a $10,000 cash prize. This years raffle sold 538 tickets and raised over $16,000 for the Little Shelter. While in attendance, the Little Shelter also presented Legislator Cooper with a proclamation in recognition of his efforts that allowed "Chief," a former police dog, to retire and be adopted by one of the officers in the Suffolk County Police Departments canine unit.
