Legislator Jon Cooper held a press conference in Huntington Station where he announced the unanimous passage of his resolution creating a "Safe Communities Initiative" task force to explore the use of surveillance cameras in high-crime areas of Suffolk County to deter crime and help apprehend criminals. Local elected officials, business leaders and community activists stood with Legislator Cooper to voice their support for his initiative.
